With the enamel paint you can add almost unlimited amount of color to lapel pins
An enameled pin is the most common manufacturing method when colors are desired for the pin. Enamel paint is added to the grooves of the pin after which the pin is baked to bind the colors.
The manufacture of the enamel pin begins with a punch with which the pin is struck from a copper or iron-based metal plate. If desired, the pin can also be sandblasted at this stage to provide more special textures to the surface of the pin.
Next, enamel paint is added to the grooves of the pin with the help of spray paint, the shades of which can be precisely the PMS shades according to Pantone's color chart.
Adding enamel paint to tiny grooves and cavities up to a tenth of a millimeter wide is a very careful task and you can guess that this step is also done by hand.
The pins are baked at a temperature of about 350 degrees which hardens the enamel paint. The outer edges of the pin are finished with trimming tools, after which the outer surfaces of the pin are further sanded or polished to achieve a neat finish.
Finally, the selected fasteners are added to the pin, the result of the pin is checked in quality control, and your order is packed to await delivery.
